What about rendering to you your "do"..? Freaking cult! All this talk about love, respect, honor, headship, importance of communication, rendering to each other their do's, winning without a word... blah blah blah. All bunk when it comes to actual practice. -

Saturday morning us newly weds visited by closet gay Special pioneer see why we stayed home!!? WIERD!!
by Witness 007 infirst let me tell you about george (his real name) the special pioneer.
not that good looking...a bit goofy, he had spiritual sisters literally ask him to date and flutter eyelids because of his positon.
he always made excuses about why sisters were "not his type"...had a bedroom full of pics of him hugging other brothers with a content strange look on his face....like this is my girlfriend look!

I cannot imagine the suffering of gay people who grow up in this organization of hate and closed mindedness. Everybody has to suppress who they really are and what they really think, that is, if they even have any original thoughts left....
I feel as sad for them now as I do for my own wasted life....

Today's Special Day Assembly Expenses and the $10,499 Deficit. Silent Majority?
by Tenacious intoday i attended a one-day assembly in my hometown.
i knew when it came time to read the afternoon expenses that it would be an incredibly high and ridiculous amount that was nowhere near the real expenses for that day.
sure enough, after lunch came the announcement.

Why don't they just have some friggin TRANSPARENCY in their accounting?? All they have to do is tell their flock how much it costs for heat, lights, water, cleaning supplies, light bulbs, lawnmower gas and fertilizers, flowers, etc., and then say that donations above this will go toward the worldwide work or whatever? (Or to needy ones in the congregation, like, oh, say, widows and fatherless children?? Or elderly pioneers or any who are literally looking for food or bread, or facing economic hardships?)
What the heck is wrong with them anyway. Greedy bastards trying to keep afloat a sinking ship.

Here is the funeral talk outline. VERY discraceful.
by stillstuckcruz inthis is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.

We went to a JW funeral recently, and what an eye-opener. It was so creepy and they do not have compassion for anybody. Some family of the deceased were coming in from out of town and they either got lost or stuck in traffic, so they phoned the Kingdom Hall to let the brothers know they would be about 10 minutes late, and would the brothers hold off starting the funeral until all the family got there...?
Well, you all know the answer, I am sure. The brother giving the talk would not wait for these other family members to arrive, He had his time set and that was that, despite there being coffee and tea afterwards at the hall. So even though this was a "booked event" with people being at the hall for quite a while, the brother still wouldn't wait to show this stressed family coming in from out of town any mercy. And the funeral talk was this very same outline!! Disgusting! And he didn't even pronounce our friend's deceased family member's name correctly!
And of course, for the family arriving 10 minutes late from out of town, all they got was the WT commercial, the part about their loved family member was all done and over within a few minutes at the beginning.
It was terrible, awful. It left a very bad taste for many people that day. My hope is that it helped wake someone up.....

I remember asking a question about this Deborah, who judged the nation of Israel. I do not have the Watchtower reference, but the gist of why a woman was allowed to judge the nation of Israel was because it showed Israel's "poor spiritual state or condition" in that there was no spiritually worthy man at the time qualified to judge. -

Oh how hurtful, so brutal. And they don't even know it! - that's the thing! O.O
Yet, in her cold-seeming, cult-clouded mind, she did voice the hope that you "take care of yourself."
I believe this part is where you can find comfort from your mom.... Her sentence, expressed, is the verbal part of her soul voicing herself to you, despite her cult indoctrination..... "Take care of yourself..." (Is it possible to allow one part of your mind to hear it from her heart, expressed in this way: "oh no! Please, take care of yourself.... Oh I hope you do take care of yourself....") and then the dub-brain would stop her from saying anymore.
You see, I too, was one of those cold, brutally harsh, horrid horrid monster-ized, deluded and TOTALY indoctrinated Dubbies!! And I believed the lies and bullshits with my whole heart, soul, mind, and goddamn strength. (Sorry, this religion really brings out all my urges to swear now, which I had suppressed for so many decades! )
You see, I am an older lady now, in my fifties, perhaps the same age as your mom... and I got hood-winked into this religion when I was around 20.... A very vulnerable time in my life... And I grabbed it and I totally believed "the truth" ... And Thought I was actually being loving and loyal and faithful and all that crap when I too complied with their harsh and horrible shunning.
I was so so so so so blinded and believing. I believed them totally, and that is so scary a thought to me, that I blindly turned my whole thoughts and life over to them. It really gives me the heebie jeebies now because THEY DON'T KNOW JUST HOW F**KING DELUDED, BRAINWASHED, AND HURTFUL -- HORRIBLY HURTFUL -- THEY ARE. They cannot see it. (-- and perhaps *this* is what will make it possible for you to eventually and hopefully forgive her if and when she can ever see through the lies....)
Though I don't believe the bible any more, the scripture, "Father, forgive them, they know naught what they do." applies when you're dealing with a totally indoctrinated JW-drone....
It hurts, yes, it hurts so much, and I am so sorry you are dealing with these terrible things all at once -- but do trust that there are moments still of grace and beauty and good things in our life too... That within the storms and shadows and fright, there are calm things and beautiful things, and still funny and cute things, and life and food and friends, and hopefully some family..... And I do hope you have pools of friendship available for you.... And know that you need not walk alone on this journey... With or, most likely, without your mom, you will get through this.

You know what... "Religious" people scare me now, especially these extremists. They frighten me with their closed thinking, their judgements and pronouncements, eee, many of the things I used to be. But what is it about Muslim belief which make them so violent and hateful and intolerant??
